Those entries are real, out of the demo book — synthetic money, a working ledger.
Your money, finally legible.
Every entry lands in a real ledger — so the reports are not a dashboard sitting on top of your data. They are your data, counted.

Every one of those is a filter over the real ledger, not a scripted answer. Hover or click a month to move the figures with it.

Two currencies, one trip abroad,
one set of books.
This is the real demo book: dollars, and €829 of spending from a trip to Berlin that stayed in euros because that is what actually happened. Underneath it is Beancount — multi-currency, cost basis and lots — which usually costs $115 a month and an accountant who knows the software.

Nothing here is a bank feed, so nothing depends on your bank being supported. If it can export a file — and every bank on earth can — it works on the first day.

Converted at a rate, on a date, from a source
A euro invoice paid into a dollar account is two currencies and a rate, not an approximation. Beancount records all three, so last year’s numbers still add up next year.

Cost basis and lots, not a single balance
Shares bought at three different prices are three lots, and the gain is real rather than assumed. This book holds no investments — the line below is the syntax, not its data.
